About the INSTRUCTOR: 

Chris Carr has been actively engaged in motorcycle training and education since 2001. Chris is an MSF instructor who has also been trained as a DBS dirtbike and ATV coach. He also served on the American Honda Demo Team. Chris' programs have educated more than 6000 riders in the Atlanta area. 
Chris grew up in Warren, Ohio and started riding motorcycles when he was 6 years old. He has competed in AMA, WERA, Formula USA, and AHRMA roadracing events. In 2006, Chris put Buell into the long distance records by riding his Ulysses from Key West, Florida to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. He has since completed numerous Iron Butt rides.
In August 2010, Chris competed in the inaugural IBR 5000 which qualified him to compete in the most notable Iron Butt Rally  
scheduled from June 20 to July 1, 2011 (11,000 miles in 11 days).
Chris also competed in the 2010 Haka Hey M/C Challenge
where he finished #15 (over 8,600 miles in 9 days) 
His book "Street Riding Secrets" was nominated for Georgia Author of the year. Chris currently writes articles for several motorcycle publications. 
Chris now hosts Two Wheeled Adventures Radio
every Tuesday nights from 7 to 8pm on Garage 71 station. You can now interact and ask Chris anything motorcycle related.

Chris has trained many local riders and celebrities including Zac Brown, John Hopkins & Chris Fryar (Zac Brown Band), Monica Pearson (WSB News Anchor), Dorsey Levens (GB Packers), Andrew Jones (fmr ATL Brave) & Tyler Perry (actor) to name a few.

BASIC RIDER COURSE (BRC)                                                                                        

This is a two day program approximately 5 hours of classroom and 10 hours of riding.
- Understand and complete 4 Basic Riding Skills: riding in a straight line, shifting, turning and stopping.
- Successful completion of the course leads to license waiver in Georgia and motorcycle insurance discounts.

Requirements - Must be at least 16 years old.
                    - Must be able to ride a bicycle.
                    - Valid driver's license.
                    - Must wear over the ankle boots, long sleeve shirt,long pants and full fingered gloves. Please see terms and conditions.

Class minimum 4 students. In the event a minimum is not met then you will be rescheduled to a different at the discretion of the instructor.

Limit 8 students/class.

Motorcycles and helmets will be provided.

ONE DAY LICENSING COURSE  (ERC)       ***THIS COURSE MUST BE TAKEN ON YOUR MOTORCYCLE***

This course is for experienced motorcycle riders who have been riding on a permit.  Must provide riding gear (long sleeves shirt, full fingered gloves, long pants, over the ankle sturdy boots).  Must successfully achieve the obejctives of exercise 1= control at low speed and must achieve the objectives of subsequent exercises to continue. The coach conducting the class is responsible for making this determination. After successfully completing the class, the rider will receive a course completion card to be taken to the DMV to obtain a GA. motorcycle license.

Class minimum 4 students. In the event a minimum is not met then you will be rescheduled to a different at the discretion of the instructor.

Limit 6 students/class.

FAQ's

What are the requirements to take the Intro or Basic Rider Course?

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the beginning of the class to sign the waiver form. You must have a valid driver license and be able to ride a bicycle.

What do I need to bring to class?
Classroom: driver license, pen and paper to take notes. We provide a student notebook.
Range: 1) Over the ankle boots so that the ankle bone is fully covered
2) Long sleeve denim pants or of equivalent durability. No holes, tears, cuffs or baggy pants will be allowed as some can get caught on the foot pegs. No spandex or sweatpants.
3) Long sleeves shirts or jackets to fully cover the arms and below the waist (even if it is hot outside)
4) Full fingered gloves preferably leather
5) Rain gear since the class will take place rain or shine
6) If you want to bring your own helmet, make sure it is DOT approved and it has a face shield to protect your eyes at all time.
7) Bandanna to wear under the helmet.
"NO SKIN AT ANYTIME".
If you are have questions about your riding gear,please consult with your coach as failure to wearing appropriate gear will result in dismissal of the student WITHOUT refund.

Bring water or non alcoholic beverages, something to eat or snacks as vending facilities may not be readily available during break time.

What motorcycle will I ride?
All the motorcycles in our fleet are 250cc: Kawasaki ninjas and Honda Nighthawks.

How do I get my motorcycle license?
After successful completion of the Basic Rider Course, meaning passing the written and skill tests, a completion card will be issued to you after the class. You will then have to take it to the DMV withing 90 days to get your motorcycle license. You will have to take the eye exam again, but you will NOT have to take their skill and written tests.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ATTENDANCE AND TARDINESS: Each class will start promptly. Allow extra travel time to arrive at least 15 minutes before each class. Tardiness or absence to any of the class sessions will result in dismissal from the course.

REFUNDS : There are no refunds. Once you pay for the class, a seat is reserved for you on a specific day and time.
  • Class minimum 4 students. In the event a minimum is not met then you will be rescheduled to a different at the discretion of the instructor.If you miss any of the class sessions.
  • If you come in late.
  • If you voluntarily withdraw from a class with or without the coach's consent.
  • If you are dismissed by the coach: for consuming alcohol/medications before or during class time that can impair your judgment. Carrying any weapons on the training grounds. Deliberate acts or intentions to harm any students or coaches. Willfully not following the coach's directions or abusing any provided equipment or motorcycles. Unsafe riding that can result in injuries to yourself or others. Using foul language.
  • If you fail the class.
  • If you do not wear the appropriate attire, you will be dismissed from the class.
CLASS CANCELLATION: Frazier's Harley-Davidson reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes at any given time. Refunds for the class will be issued if we are unable to provide an alternate course.

STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18: must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the beginning of the class to sign the waiver. After successful completion of the class, the student will receive a 90 day licence waiver. However, the student must turn 17 years old before the 90 days waiver expires in order to receive a license. See
